The History of RGE Studio

The email design suite you already know and love just leveled up. We’re working hard to update our help center, but you still may see some references to the old product name.

In 2014, we started with a simple yet ambitious goal. We wanted to revolutionize email creation by making it accessible to everyone. This is how RGE Studio came to be.

Back then, we were known as BEE (an acronym for "Best Email Editor"). Now, that name only represents part of what we do. Today, RGE Studio includes both a Page builder and an Email builder.

Much has changed over the years. Here's a look at how we got here:

• 2014 | We purchased the beefree.io domain, and released our builder to the public.
• 2015 | We launched our first product, now known as Beefree SDK.
• 2016 | We launched RGE Studio, our second product, and our own implementation of Beefree SDK.
• 2017 | We introduced several RGE Studio plans at different price points. 
• 2018-2020 | We focused on feature development, releasing connectors, saved rows, and a design program.
• 2021 | We introduced a Page builder to complement our Email builder.
• 2022 | RGE Studio adopted a freemium model.
• 2023 | We rebranded from BEE to Beefree. 
• 2024 | Beefree acquired Really Good Emails. 
• 2025 | We invested in AI and the infrastructure behind Beefree.
• 2026 | RGE Studio (formerly known as Beefree App) joined the Really Good Emails ecosystem, combining inspiration and creation layers. 

Today, we strive to develop creative tools that are intuitive, empowering, and accessible. We focus on removing complexity and unleashing creativity, so everyone can create effective digital content.
