Exporting your emails to Iterable
Beefree App is now RGE Studio!
The email design suite you already know and love just leveled up. We’re working hard to update our help center, but you still may see some references to the old product name.
This article applies to the Email builder in all plans.
Overview of the Iterable Connector for Emails
RGE Studio now offers an Iterable connector, allowing you to easily export email designs from RGE Studio directly to your Iterable account. This integration simplifies the workflow for marketing teams in industries like healthcare, pharma, e-commerce, and customer onboarding who rely on both RGE Studio for design and Iterable for email marketing automation.
The Iterable connector simplifies the process of exporting email templates, eliminating the need for manual HTML downloads and imports. With just a few clicks, you can send emails from RGE Studio to Iterable, enabling faster and more efficient email campaign management.

Prerequisites
Before getting started with the Iterable connector, make sure you have the following:
- An RGE Studio account with a completed email design.
- An Iterable account with an active API key. You will need this key to connect your accounts.
Create an API key in Iterable
Here’s how you can create an API key in Iterable:
- Navigate to the API Key section: Go to Settings and select API Keys.
- Create a Server-Side Key: Once you're in the API Keys section, click on Server-side keys and follow the instructions to create a new key.
- Important Consideration: The API key is only visible the first time you create it. After that, you won’t be able to see it again. So, make sure to immediately copy the key and paste it into RGE Studio or store it somewhere secure. If you lose the key, you won’t be able to retrieve it—you’ll need to create a new one.
- For more steps and details: For further information on creating an API key, you can reference the Iterable documentation on API Keys and server-side keys.
Note: Be sure to always copy and store your key securely right after creation.

Update Existing Emails
RGE Studio also allows users to update existing email templates in Iterable. Follow these steps to re-export and update an existing email template:
- Open the email design in RGE Studio that you wish to update.
- After making your changes, click Export.
- Select the Update Existing option to overwrite the previous version of the email template in Iterable.
The updated email will retain any changes you made, including HTML, subject line, preheader, and UTMs.
Important Considerations
- Iterable requires certain mandatory fields, such as an unsubscribe link, to be included in every email. RGE Studio will prompt you to an error message if these fields are missing before export.
- Once an email is exported, you can edit the email within Iterable's Drag and Drop editor.
