Page Slug Customization
Beefree App is now RGE Studio!
The email design suite you already know and love just leveled up. We’re working hard to update our help center, but you still may see some references to the old product name.
This article applies to paid plans.
Overview
A page slug is the last part of a URL. It identifies a specific page in a readable format. Slugs are typically words separated by hyphens. They describe the page content and help create clean, descriptive URLs.
In RGE Studio, you can customize the URL slug for published pages. A custom slug makes your page content immediately recognizable.
Prerequisites
You need the following to customize a page slug:
- Any paid RGE Studio plan
- A RGE Studio role of Owner, Admin, Manager, or Editor
Note: This feature applies to pages only.
Customize Your Page Slug
Follow these steps to customize a published page's slug:
- Navigate to your page in RGE Studio.
- Enter your page's details.
- Click the edit icon under the Publish section. A Slug field appears on the next screen.
- Enter your slug in the Slug field.
- Click Save.
- Check your page URL to confirm the slug was saved.
Note: Slugs display only on published pages.
Important Considerations
Keep the following in mind when customizing page slugs:
- You can customize the slug for any published page.
- You can use the same slug for multiple pages. RGE Studio adds a unique ID before the slug in the URL. The unique ID is permanent.
- If you add a page title without setting a slug, the title becomes the slug. A custom slug always overrides the title-based slug.
- A slug supports letters, numbers, and dashes only.
- Slugs can be up to 190 characters.
- Copied pages inherit the original page's slug.
- Slug customization is available for single-language pages. For multilingual pages, see Multilingual Designs.
