Exporting to Klaviyo

Overview

Design your emails in RGE Studio and export them to Klaviyo for sending. The Klaviyo connector lets you export with one click.

There are two ways to connect your Klaviyo account:

1. From Workspace Settings: connect before you start designing.
2. From the Export options of your email.

Follow the steps below.

1. Connect from Workspace Settings

Go to Settings > Connectors.

Click the Connect button for Klaviyo.

Fill out the information in the modal to begin setting up the connector.

2. Connect from Export

When your email is ready, click the Export button on the Email Details page. This option is also available from the actions menu for your email.

Find Klaviyo under Integrations on the export panel. If you don't see it, click More to open the full connector list.

In the full connector list, scroll or search for Klaviyo. Click the Klaviyo icon and follow the steps to connect your account. If you have already connected, you will not be asked again.

RGE Studio will confirm when the export is complete. Your email will then appear in your Klaviyo account.

Exporting Existing Designs

RGE Studio will recognize if you are exporting an email that you've already pushed to Klaviyo. You can update the existing version in Klaviyo using the Update existing option. This export option will overwrite the existing version. If you want to export a new version of your email instead, use Create as new.

Klaviyo Required Content

When you use the Klaviyo connector, your email must include an unsubscribe link. The link must use a format Klaviyo supports.

Klaviyo supports two types of unsubscribe links:

• {% unsubscribe %}
• {% unsubscribe_link %}

The {% unsubscribe %} tag works like a merge tag. Klaviyo controls how this link looks. It often displays in Klaviyo's default blue link style.

To customize the link's appearance, insert {% unsubscribe_link %} as a special link in RGE Studio. This lets you set a custom link color. To learn more, see Klaviyo's guide to unsubscribe links.

Multiple Workspaces

If you work with multiple brands or clients, the Business and Enterprise plans lets you create separate workspaces. Each workspace can have its own Klaviyo connector.

For example, if you have 10 clients who all use Klaviyo, you can create 10 workspaces. Each workspace connects to its own Klaviyo account.
