SVG Files
Beefree App is now RGE Studio!
The email design suite you already know and love just leveled up. We’re working hard to update our help center, but you still may see some references to the old product name.
What is an SVG file?
SVG (Scalable Vector Graphics) files are used primarily for logos, icons, illustrations, charts, and animated elements on websites because they scale without losing quality. This file type is commonly used in web development, so it's commonly used in landing pages.

Their XML structure allows text to be read by search engines and screen readers, improving accessibility and search engine optimization (SEO). This type of file is not suitable for complex images like photographs, which typically use PNG or JPEG formats. If you'd like to learn more, this external resource is a good place to start.
Designing with SVGs
Although our file manager allows you to add SVG files, you may encounter some issues if you are using an SVG file in an email. Not all email clients support this file type. Below is a list of email clients that we know support SVGs
Fully Supported: Apple Mail iOS 13, Outlook macOS 2016
Partially supported: Apple Mail macOS 13
You can read more updated information about email client compatibility in this resource: https://www.caniemail.com/features/html-svg/
Most modern web browsers support SVG files, so this is a viable option if you're designing landing pages in RGE Studio.
The recommended image formats for emails are JPEG and PNG. If you have an SVG file you can easily convert it with one of the free tools you can find online. Here are some examples: https://www.freeconvert.com/image-converter, https://cloudconvert.com/svg-to-jpg.
